TSA and The Nipple Ring

If you thought that flying on airplanes was getting ridiculous with all the insanity over TSA airport security, here's a story about a woman who was forced to remove her nipple ring, even requiring a pair of pliers to do the job. I think our country just sunk to a new low.

Let me get this right ... terrorists have exploding nipple rings?

The next President sure has a bunch of work to do. Add this one to the list.

I think that the practice is acceptable if administered in every case. Employing a lawyer for an apology is disingenuous. She would not receive any money for an apology, and we all know that lawyers do not work for free. While it may sound reasonable on the surface, an admission of guilt (saying "sorry") opens the door for financial gain. Surely you know where it will go.....

I do beleive that the TSA should get better training, maybe the Israelis will help? They know what they are doing.

Hey Mike, thought I'd catch you on some boobie bait! Anyway, no way that ear rings or any other body piercings should be subject to removal and the point of the article was that the poor woman should have been allowed a "pat-down search" in compliance with the laws and regulations. It's America, bruddah, and she can sue a ham sandwich for all I care, but the ridiculous screening methods are, well, ridiculous.

I agree that the Israelis had perfected the system a decade ago and that TSA doesn't know what to do, besides figuring out how to dispose of all that lotion and perfume that can't go on board an airplane. It's a huge joke, face it.

And to anon, there are specialty companies now that remove tattoos and ingrown body metal for really big bucks. Cosmetic surgery is the fastest growing part of the medical industry now, and very profitable. Go become a doctor. /sam

God. Thank goodness her ring wasn't somewhere else. Would have used pliers to remove it from her labia? Ouch. Fucking ouch.
