I haven't done this before, but I thought it would be fun to jot down the top stories of 2009. These are in no particular order and if I missed something, post it up in the comments!
- Leaning Tower of SPI got kerspoded
- Red Tide invaded for two months
- Beach renourishment happened
- No hurricanes hit SPI in 2009 (sweet)
- Home Rule was passed
- Paragraphs opened - now we have a book store!
- Isla Blanca is still open to the public
- Mostly recovered from Hurricane Dolly
- Mercado Days continued
- OK here's you chance folks, we need a tenth, people's choice here
Very special mention:
- Rescue of Mohawk the dolphin by Scarlet Colley and the Marine Mammal Stranding Network, one of the true highlights of the year (thanks Rob!)

Another great story - Sam Wells slowed down his participation on the SPI Boreum and started posting on the oh so friendlier and fun Facebook!! HAPPY NEW YEAR! Lori and Sam - Ann
That was some powerful good advice, Ann. I feel so much happier, and don't have to worry if I insulted some important person. Thanks!
